Why do you do what you do? I have always been fascinated with electricity and its origin. I love seeing a project be transformed from a set of plans to the finished project. I remember the excitement I felt from turning on a switch or breaker and feeling the energy of knowing we made something work when I was out on the job every day. The success our team has had over the past 50 years is very gratifying. Driving all over the state and identifying projects that we have completed is an irreplaceable feeling. Having customers like Lippert select us as "Vendor of the Year" is extremely satisfying. We take pride in having such a wide client base that still tells us we are the best.

Favorite "Dane" story? My favorite story is a broad memory of the quality characters who have worked at Dane. Bill Rutterford, John Cash, George Jefferson, Bill Jay, and Ed Free – just those names bring back so many great stories and memories. Some of my funniest memories were made golfing with Bill Jay and Rutterford.

Hobbies and interests: One of my favorite hobbies is golfing. I have been so fortunate to serve with the National Electrical Contractors Association as governor and traveled for over 20 years to conventions where I have had the opportunity to play some of the greatest courses. Pebble Beach, Spyglass, PGA West, many TPC courses, Kiawah Island (all six courses including the Ocean Course), Whistling Straight, Pinehurst 1,2,4,5,7,9 and many others. I'd be amiss if I didn't mention driving my Corvette. I can't leave that out. My wife, Shirley, bought it for my birthday. Granted, I couldn't tell you which birthday, but man, what a special wife.

Family? My wife and I have been married 52 years, and she is my princess. She has been so supportive all these years, and I am blessed by her companionship. We have a beautiful daughter and a very special son-in-law who is president of Dane Electric. I have so much trust in Jeff's leadership and talents. He has done a great job. They have given us two incredible grandsons, Tanner and Justin. Tanner is a junior at Oklahoma Baptist University and a youth minister at Morris Memorial Baptist near Ada, Oklahoma. Justin is working for us in Ada as an electrician. Both Tanner and Justin have been such wonderful blessings to our family, and I don't think we could be any more proud of them.

Anything else that we should know about you? I believe our name "Dane and Associates Electric" is one of the best in the industry. We are proud of our team of employees, and I am thankful for this special group. We provide a quality of service that sets us apart from others, and I am very proud of that.

Why do you do what you do? I have always been fascinated with construction. Being able to be a part of something from an idea to reality is pretty fulfilling to me.

Favorite "Dane" story? I am not sure if I have one particular story that sticks out. I have had a good experience the whole time that I have been with Dane, from my time as an apprentice, to being a service truck driver, to now being in the office.

Hobbies and interests: I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I love hunting, fishing and being outdoors. I also volunteer time at Cargo Ranch. I started a nonprofit organization with the help of friends called The Ben Strong Foundation. This foundation will help other spinal cord patients like myself that need help with different needs. Why do you do what you do? I have always liked working with electronics and electricity. I was tired of working in retail, and when I saw the movie Office Space, I decided that working with my hands was what I wanted to do. Working for an electrical contractor is very satisfying because when you complete a job, the lights come on. On the service side where something breaks down, the task of coming up with a solution to the problem is rewarding when it is back up and running.

Favorite "Dane" story? Once, we were working to install conduit for a speaker system at the Boone Pickens Stadium at Oklahoma State University. While we were there, another company asked us to provide additional labor to help them move the new speakers that were, "the size of an office desk." Because the speaker housing structure was located on the rooftop of the Gallagher-Iba Arena, the speakers were airlifted from the parking lot to the rooftop. From there, we carried them the last 30 feet to their final location. This job allowed me to see the OSU football field from a perspective that few will ever see. Not to mention, catching speakers from under a Huey helicopter was awesome!

Hobbies and interests: I have two kids, and I have no hobbies. Ha! The only hobby I am still clinging on to is sailing. I have my Grandpa's 1964 Oday Mariner Sailboat. He used to love to sail. I hope to pass the love of sailing down to my kids.

Family? My wife and I have two kids, ages 6 and 12. Both are active in competitive swimming.

Anything else that we should know about you? I grew up on a large ranch. My worst subject in school was English, and my mom was the high school English teacher. It wasn't her fault though, so please forgive my spelling if I ever send you an email! I graduated from OSU.

Why do you do what you do? Because I am not good enough to play golf professionally.

Favorite "Dane" story? I really don't have a specific story about Dane. It is more of the overall culture here for me that makes this a great place to work. It feels more like an extended family than a job.

Hobbies and interests: Golf, hunting, family, spending time by the pool at my house and sports in general.

Family? My wife and I have been married for eight years and combined we have three beautiful daughters and a two-year-old granddaughter.

Why do you do what you do? I truly love everyone that I work with. They are my family. I love the unique challenges that my job provides.

Favorite "Dane" story? Hoping to add some laughs to the office, I was hiding around the corner as Terrell, our receptionist, was exiting the restroom. I was ready with my camera and jumped out. Her response was priceless! "God Bless America!" as she grabbed her heart. I played that video on a loop, I don't even know how many times!

Hobbies and interests: I love to travel. Seeing new things and cultures never cease to amaze me. My family loves to cruise! We love the beach and the ocean. There is always so much to explore. Anyone who knows me knows that I am a big nerd. I wouldn't have it any other way. I love to watch Doctor Who, Sherlock, Supernatural, The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, Impractical Jokers, Gotham, The Strain, Game of Thrones, etc. After a traumatic personal experience, I began to explore various avenues for self-defense and ultimately found my second home at the gun range. I am also a huge Oakland Raiders fan as well as the OKC Thunder! I have, in recent years, started to learn to bake and decorate cakes. It is as fun as it is stressful sometimes.

Family? My husband, Jeff, and I are high school sweethearts. We got married 20 days after I graduated high school. We have been together for 16 years. We have one amazing little boy, Jason, who is 5. He is precious and precocious. We also have a German shepherd dog, Irie, who, even though she is 8 years old, is active and fun to play with.

Anything else that we should know about you? If you ask me a question or for my opinion, you better be prepared for my answer. I will always give you my honest answer/opinion, and you may not like it. But I believe that the only way we obtain personal growth is through brutal honesty.
